The Band Toto Asia
Toto was expanding its production facilities in the overseas market and operating in France, Germany, Indonesia, Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and the People's Republic of China. North America was seen as an area of growth for bidet and washlet toilet seats, as opposed its "base" markets in Japan and China.
Dhaniram Toto recorded Toto words to ensure that the future generation could understand the words. Many words were replaced by foreign ones. For instance, dui, which is Bengali for verandah was being used.
Origins
The company was founded in 1917 and its early years mirrored Japan's economic growth. In the first half, Toto manufactured goods to meet the demand for modern, new urban housing. To do this, it employed the country's first tunnel kiln to make ceramics in continuous flow. It also pioneered the use of automation to control production, which allows for greater efficiency and consistency.
In the late 1980s, the company began to expand overseas in order to take advantage of sales and new markets. The company created the Cera Trading Company to import and sell other products from other manufacturers to complement its own line of sanitary earthenwares and plumbing fittings. This strategy helped to increase sales and expand the market share of the company globally.
In the 1990s, Toto had shifted its focus on research and development for water-related household appliances. It also redesigned its system of distribution to better serve customers and improve profit. The company implemented a just-in-time approach to supply chain management, and it used the same method in its sales program. This led to a higher level of customer satisfaction.
Toto has continued to innovate in the toilet technology. Its most recent toilet, for instance is equipped with an extremely powerful tornado flush that is more eco friendly than conventional toilets. Toto also makes use of recycled water in its production process and has a green procurement policy. In addition to toilets, Toto manufactures faucets and bathtubs, as well as hand dryers that are more efficient in terms of energy consumption than conventional models.
The first museum of the company opened in the year 2015 and features exhibits on Toto's seminal products and their evolution, its group companies (all that deal with ceramics), history of plumbing and products like bath units, and in a separate gallery, Toto products sold around the world. The museum also has a bathroom that includes the WASHLET toilet, as well as other toilet-related innovations.
Before the formation of Toto the band, members of the group performed session work for various musicians. Boz Scaggs album Silk Degrees featured keyboardist David Paich, guitarists Mike Porcaro & Steve Lukather and drummers Jeff Porcaro & Steve Lukather. They also played on records by Steely Don, Seals and Crofts and Sonny and Cher.
Discography
With a name as evocative as Asia you'd expect the group to be prog kings and queens - but it's actually a fairly straightforward rock group. The band began as four-piece, and released two albums: 1979's self-titled debut and 1980's Armed to the Teeth. The group has a wide musical background, but their biggest success came in 1982 when they released Toto IV.
The album was a major blockbuster, however it did not come without its own set of issues. Record companies put the band on the spot with the ultimatum "give us an album that is a success or we'll drop you" and the pressure was on to meet the deadline. Luckily for Toto, they did and they did it with the aid of the smash single "Africa."
Toto's musical mastery is a result of their prior experience since the members had been session musicians for artists like Boz Scaggs, Steely Dan, and Seals and Crofts prior the group. Their distinctive sound has become the norm for '80s pop, and has influenced many modern artists.
The album opens with a strong and pounding sound, with songs such as Running Out of Time and Unknown Soldier showcasing the bands ability to write great AOR songs that slowly build their hooks into your mind. However, the album also includes some more mellow, jazzy tracks such as The Little Things and Chinatown. 토토사이트 꽁머니 closes with Great Expectations. This song mixes folk and distorted AOR that could seem like a complete blunder, but works extremely well.
After Toto IV the band's fortunes began to decline. David Hungate left to concentrate on his solo career and the band had to go through various drummers. In 1984, Bobby Kimball left the band following drug-related charges. The band remained with Michael Porcaro, Steve Lukather and Michael Porcaro.
Toto released Isolation despite the turbulence. It was not as well-liked as IV. The group managed to release an album that was chart-topping, Kingdom of Desire, in 1992. This album marked Toto's final lineup and the debut of Simon Phillips, a new singer.

Line-up
Turn Back, the band's third studio album is an attempt to return to the classic sextet format, and it was a more consistent, more powerful album with a sharper edge. Its more punk-rock sound was a reflection of the maturation of the group, with drummer Bobby Kimball's greater proficiency on the drums, as well as an improved, mature vocal delivery by singer Joseph Williams. Keyboardist David Paich's work was more precise, sharper and less cloying than earlier efforts.
After touring to promote their album, the band recorded an Amsterdam live performance that was released on Eagle Records as a 2-CD set titled Falling In Between. A new studio album followed a few months later, and the band embarked on an extensive world tour in support of it. During this period, keyboardist Greg Phillinganes replaced Paich and bassist David Hungate quit the group to spend time with his family.
In 1998, Paich & Lukather began exploring old tapes and demos to find songs that had never been recorded before. The album was released in 2001 as a double album called Then and Now. It was the first album in the band's history that did not include a single song with the word "A" in its title and it included one previously unreleased track, "Kari-Anne".
By 2003, Toto had begun to decline in popularity. The group's fourth album, Old Is New, was a commercial flop and singer Williams was suffering from a severe laryngitis infection which hampered his singing. 토지노 사이트 returned to Nashville and Leland Sklar's drumming duties were replaced by Shem Von Schroeck.
Downes and the other original members of Asia--Wetton, Palmer, and Howe--convened a meeting in England in early 2006 to discuss the possibility of restructuring the band. The lineup, which was minus Howe (who was busy with Yes at the time), eventually became known as Toto XIV and toured extensively.
In 2010, the band reunited for another reunion tour with a slightly different line-up, including guitarists Mike Porcaro and Steve Lukather, drummer John Pierce, bassist Shannon Forrest, and multi-instrumentalists Warren Ham and Dominique Taplin. The band also had a special appearance by singer Michael McDonald and a backing vocalist named Mabvuto Carver.
